2012 RENTAL REGULATIONS Please Read Before Submitting Rental Request Form These homes are in the private community of Oak Shores which is managed by the Oak Shores Community Association (OSCA). OSCA and Oak Shores Rentals policies restrict the number of adults to 8 persons over the age of 13. There is no restriction on the number of children 13 and under. Only Two cars may enter Oak Shores per rental home. One boat trailer is allowed for each rental home. This trailer may hold one boat AND/OR two personal watercraft. Watercraft not registered to Oak Shores property owners must obtain an OSCA Visitor Permit at the OSCA gate at check in. Currently the fee for the permit is $125 per week per watercraft. Lake Nacimiento is managed by Monterey County. Their lake use permit charge is $6 per day or $85 per year per watercraft. This fee can be paid at the main Oak Shores launch ramp (silent ranger), at the Lake Nacimiento resort or at the Lake San Antonio entry gate. Monterey County controls the level of lake water, subject to natural elements, and therefore, Oak Shores Rentals cannot be responsible for any inconvenience due to lake levels. If Rental includes use of a private slip or dock, which is not available, Renter will receive a maximum credit of $100. We accept personal checks, VISA and MasterCard (no cash). In addition to the rental rate the following is required: $500 refundable security deposit and the San Luis Obispo County "bed tax" (9% of the rental rate). A $250 minimum Reservation Deposit is required to hold a reservation. Payment for the weekly rental rate less the $250 reservation deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival. Payment of the security deposit plus the bed tax is due 30 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is cancelled fewer than 60 days before your arrival the full rent is forfeited. There is a $250 cancellation fee on all cancellations. The rental period is either Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday depending on the home. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. If at least one person in your party cannot arrive prior to 7:00 PM, special arrangements must be made for entry to Oak Shores. Check-out time is 10:00 AM. The home must be vacated by then with keys and security gate card returned to the rental office. There is a charge of $25 per hour for late departure.
